Tuesday’s Tip - BBQ season

BBQFor me, the smell of BBQ signals the official kickoff of summer. To get the most out of your barbequing experiences this year, try some of these quick tips!

  • Always remember to marinade different types of meats in seperate containers.
  • Easy marinating - use Beer. And it doesn't need to be a specific beer either. Whatever is on sale is perfect!
  • Plan ahead. Meat needs a good length of time to marinate - overnight is best.
  • When making your own burgers, add an egg to your meat mixture will help your burgers not fall apart on the BBQ.
  • Use a measuring cup to get the same size burger every time. A 1/2 cup scoop will give you a 1/4lb burger. 2/3 cup will give you a 1/3lb burger.
  • Poke a hole in the middle of your burger before you put it on the BBQ. This will help prevent it from shrinking while cooking and make it a more uniform final shape.
  • Carefully cover the grill in PAM or oil with a cloth before heating to prevent foods from sticking.

Enjoy the summer and creating delicious meals on the grill! :)
