Mrs. Field’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
By Lisa Marie on Aug 5, 2008 in Recipes
So, my "infamous" chocolate chip cookies are actually from a recipe that I found, I think online, based on the recipes used at the cookie joint - Mrs. Fields. I love these cookies. Soft, chewy … yummy! (Maybe I shouldn't be typing this at 7:30 am… I might be tempted to make some for breakfast! hehe)
Here's the recipe:
- 1 c. (2sticks) softened butter
- ½ c. granulated sugar
- 1½ c. packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2½ tsp. vanilla
- 2½ c. flour
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1½ 12-oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
- Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda.
- Combine wet&dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- With your fingers, place golf ball sized dough portions about 2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 9-10 mins or until edges are light brown. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
- Although they don't seem cooked after 10 mins, they will continue to cook after removed from the oven.
