Peach Crumble

Several years ago, I came across this crumble recipe which made me seem like a pro! (I'm all over that!!) As I was cutting up a peach for my bowl of Cheerios this morning for breakfast, I was reminded of it and dug through my recipe box so I can make a tasty dessert treat the next time we buy peaches! Enjoy this summery, delicious treat!
Peach Crumble
(6 to 8 servings)
- 6 cups of peeled, pitted and thickly sliced peaches
- ½ cup of sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup of flour
- ½ cup of butter
- ½ c brown sugar
- ¼ cup of cinnamon
In a large bowl, toss peach slices with sugar & cornstarch. Dump into a 8 or 9 inch pan. In another large bowl with a fork or pastry blender, combing the flour, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix & mash until the mixture becomes moist & crumbly. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the top of fruit.
Bake at 375°F for 35 to 45 minutes until the peaches are bubbly and the topping is browned.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
