Friday’s Feature - Cinnamon/Vanilla Seasoning

Apple MuffinsSo I took the boys apple picking yesterday. I love fall - especially when it's not cold! The start to this autumn has been warm and wonderful - allowing for extended outdoor days and lots of great ideas.

Prepare yourself for a montage of fall friendly recipes and tips!

Since I woke up this morning to a 20lb. bag of apples yelling at me, I thought I'd start the day off by making apple muffins. Not only does it help to get the apple-recipes rolling, but it also gave us something yummy for breakfast!!

I just got a new package of Tupperware's Simple Indulgences Cinnamon-Vanilla Seasoning. I have to admit, that although people tend to think of the plasticware - this spice is near the top of my favourite Tupperware products list. It's DELICIOUS!! It takes cinnamon and sweetens it. You can even SMELL the difference it makes. Try it! It's yummy. :)

As you've seen in the past, I'm a big fan for cheating in the kitchen - making my life easier. So I stuck with my "cheater muffins", since the banana ones work so well.

Cheater Apple Muffins

I used oatmeal muffin mix. Simply follow the directions on the package until you have the batter finished. Then, add 1 cup of applesauce and 1 Tbsp of cinnamon-vanilla. Top with a thin slice of apple.

Cook as directions require (Mine is 20 minutes at 400ºF).

These are very moist and apt to come apart easily, so make sure you have a plate or napkin.

Yuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyy. Great way to start my day. :)
