Pantry Zone #4 - General Food Storage
By admin on Apr 10, 2008 in Handy Tips
Better Homes and Gardens suggests putting all of your cans and similar food in a zone together. They mention using stair step shelves so you can see all the can, even in the back. Having never heard of a stair step shelf before, I decided to do some looking around and I stumbled on a website called Stacks And Stacks - The Homewares Place. They have so many great products, including this:
Cabinet Organizer:
Basically, you put these "steps" on the shelf in your pantry and you put your cans on it. By raising the cans or jars at the back, you don't lose any! That way you will save money, by not overbuying and it will save you time, too! No more digging around, looking for that can of mushroom soup you just KNOW you have!
Another idea is to put your cans and other general food storage near the top, because you likely don't need access to it as much as you will your meal prep centres and baking zones.
Isn't your pantry looking fantastic? Only 3 more zones to go!
