Pantry Zone #5 - Lunch Centre
By Lisa Marie on Apr 16, 2008 in Handy Tips
A good idea is to put zones for each meal of the day to make "Grab&Go" We've already covered the dinner centre with all the baskets for meal prep. Now let's do lunch!
If you make lunches for work everyday, for you, your kids or significant other then having a centre ready to make lunch prep easy is a great idea. Put in the key items you need to for quick preparation - like napkins, ziploc bags, little snack containers, utensils, lunch bags, etc.
For lunches that you are eating at home, you can still have everything you might need handy in your lunch centre. Add some quick make meals - like raman noodles, macaroni&cheese, etc. plus anything non-refridgerated to make lunch - like bread.
A terrific idea for bread storage is to put an under the shelf rack hanging where they can slide in. Saves space on the counter because you no longer have need of a bread box and by having the bread near your meal centres you can make sure not to forget about it!
Now there's no excuse for skipping lunch!!
