Fundraiser Success
By Lisa Marie on Apr 6, 2008 in Tupperware News
Yesterday, I was a part of a "home business" fundraiser event for a women's group at a church in Port Perry. I was a little worried the response would be slow - given a similar event I co-ordinated with some other WAHMs last year at the time when we had essentially no one show up!
There were several other well-known businesses there - 5th Avenue jewellery, Discovery Toys, PartyLite, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Avon, Gramma's Attic plus a few independent businesses too. A great WAH showcase!
Unpacking my bag, I found that I was missing a LOT of stuff - like my business cards and some other stuff. Feeling totally bummed and irritated, I tried to compose myself and get ready for the 1 o'clock start time.
I was amazed. I had a LINE UP of people! Women clamouring all over each other (ok, maybe not quite that extreme), but I had several people at once.
After the crowd cleared and I was able to take a look at what the results were, I'm excited to report that thanls to the customers who came and shopped, I ended up being able to give the church $160 for their women's group.
