Is The Tupperware Business Recession Proof?
By Lisa Marie on Mar 4, 2009 in Tupperware News
This is a great concern, in a time when people are thinking carefully about money and their budgets. What place does Tupperware have in a money crunched time?
Amazingly enough, in times of financial strain, direct sales businesses are actually some of the only companies who see success! We've already seen it reflected in today's market!
Watch this clip from MNBC's Mad Money:
The question now might be … why? Well, here's the basic reasons.
#1. People want to spend more time together - and having home parties are one way that people can get together, and have a lot of fun.
#2. People are able to see first-hand the benefits and uses for products at home parties. Let's face it, in the store, you aren't likely going to get a demo of that food chopper or storage container so you can decide if it's right for you or if it's something you wouldn't be able to figure out! By getting a chance to be "hands-on", it's easier to appreciate the investment.
#3. Tupperware is known for top-notch quality. Add to that it's ever expanding and evolving, while still maintaining it's original designs and you have a company that is both cutting edge and nostagic at the same time! That makes it relevant to all generations. With it's limited life-time warranty and it's desire for highest customer-service, customers know they are getting the best.
#4. People want to save money. By investing in Tupperware, customers know they are saving long-term money - since they won't waste as much food, or need to repeated repurchase containers that just don't cut it.
